In addition to our annual call, the North of England Consortium for Arts and Humanities is pleased to invite further applications for up to six studentships tenable for three years to start in January 2016. Studentships include fees and a stipend at RCUK level, at present to the value of £14,057 per annum.
The studentships are led by the School of Music, Humanities and Media at the University of Huddersfield and successful candidates will be supervised in the School with co-supervision at another member university of the consortium. All students will undertake common cohort-based postgraduate training in research impact, public engagement, entrepreneurship and digital humanities, and will have access to facilities and research support at the other Consortium members.
Applicants should hold a good undergraduate and a Master’s degree (or be nearing completion of their programme). In this round, we are encouraging applications in the following areas:
• Communication, Media and Cultural Studies
• Drama, Theatre and Performance
• English Literature and Creative Writing
• Linguistics and Modern Languages
• History
• Music
• Music Technology
